Puzzle As Man Cuts Off His Testicles In Gatundu
A man from Wanugu village in Gatundu South is in agony after chopping off his testicles with a blunt panga.
The 42-year-old guy, who is recovering at Gatundu Level Five Hospital, claims the incident occurred after his attempt to quit using harmful alcohol failed.
“My problems did not start today; they started a long time ago. Every time I overindulge in too much alcohol and I try to withdraw, I find myself suffering from this and the other,” he told journalists while at the hospital.
The man who separated from his wife and three children claims that on Saturday, November 23, 2024, after attempting to detox from dangerous alcohol, he became enraged and committed suicide.
“Before I did this, I was at my brother’s place. I wrestled him and went straight to my house where I wanted to die by suicide,” he narrated.
“Upon entering the house, I could not find a rope and that is how I became thoughtful – I took a panga and started cutting off my private parts.”
“I am lucky because the weapon I used was not sharp, if it was then things would have been worse,” he added.
While blaming his problems on alcohol consumption, the man who asked clergy to pray for him noted that he is always at ease when he is sober.

“Only clerics can help me now. I cut off my testicles but I left the main thing. My sisters wanted to stop me and even guided me but I heard none of their advice. I am now regretting it,” he said.
He urged drunkards to abstain from alcohol, claiming that it has no economic value other than the devastating effects he is currently dealing with.
A theatre layout form revealed that the man had undergone a large scrotal exploration, a surgical technique in which the testicles are examined through an incision in the scrotum.
Our attempts to contact hospital personnel for an update on the man’s condition were unsuccessful.
