KAA Reports Aircraft Incident At JKIA As Jambojet Announces Delays

Jambojet has acknowledged an incident involving an aircraft during usual overnight maintenance operations.

According to the company, the incident occurred while the aircraft was parked, when it rolled off the ramp and collided with a pole, causing minor nose damage.

“We wish to report that no injuries occurred to our staff during this incident,” Jambojet said.

The company confirmed that its team is working closely with the authorities to examine the incident and guarantee that all required precautions are taken to prevent a repeat.

Jambojet told Kenyans that safety is their first concern and that it is committed to upholding the best standards in all of its operations.

The aircraft has been pulled from service until it is approved.

Jambojet stated that there will be some flight disruptions as a result of the issue and that affected guests will be notified personally.

“We anticipate some flight disruptions due to this incident, and the affected guests will be communicated to directly,” it said.

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and reiterate our commitment to the safety of our staff and customers,” Jambojet said.

However, KAA assured the country and other stakeholders that there were no casualties reported during the event.

Furthermore, the Airport Authority stated that the jet involved in the incident was being removed from the runway prior to the return of normal operations.

Furthermore, the administration apologized for any delay caused by the event at Kenya’s international airport, JKIA.

“An aircraft incident has caused runway closure at JKIA. No injuries have been reported. Removal of the aircraft is underway,” Kenya Airports Authority’s statement read in part.

”We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will provide updates shortly,” it added.
