DP Kindiki, Atwoli React To Ruto-Uhuru Meeting In Gatundu

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki praised the meeting between President William Ruto and his predecessor, Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a statement issued on Monday, December 9, 2024, via his official X account, DP Kindiki stated that the two leaders’ good connections promote national unity and stability.

Kindiki went on to say that the meeting between the two allows the country to work together to accomplish national development concerns.

“Rapprochement between President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta works well for national unity, stability and enables the country to collectively focus on addressing national development priorities,” Kindiki stated.

In a message uploaded on his official X account, Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli commended Ruto and Uhuru for agreeing to meet in person to discuss problems of national institute interest.

According to Atwoli, the two leaders’ decision will help Kenya build its economy, generate more employment, and ensure stability, attracting both direct and indirect investment.

“On behalf of Kenyan workers let me take this opportunity to thank H.E President William Ruto and the immediate former President H.E Uhuru Kenyatta for finding it fit to meet up in person and discuss issues of national institute interest,” Atwoli stated.

“Indeed, with this trajectory, Kenya is poised to grow its economy, create more jobs and guarantee stability which will attract both direct and indirect investment.”

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has praised President Ruto’s rekindled friendship with retiring President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Passaris, reflecting on the conference, emphasized the importance of healthy relationships among key leaders in providing stability and progress to the country.

“By nurturing harmonious relationships among all stakeholders, we can foster collective stability and growth, emphasizing that collaboration is crucial for overcoming challenges and achieving our national aspirations,” she stated.

The Nairobi MP also urged Kenyans to embrace togetherness, underlining the importance of focusing on common goals rather than differences.

“May this spirit of unity guide us towards a prosperous future, reminding us that our differences are insignificant compared to our shared destiny,” Passaris added.

Uhuru-Ruto Meeting

On Monday, December 9, 2024, President Ruto paid Uhuru a visit at his rural home in Gatundu, Kiambu County, and discussed a variety of subjects.
