Boda Boda Rider, Passenger Killed After Collision With Bus In Bomet
A boda boda and a bus collided on Saturday night in the Kipisarwet area along the Bomet-Narok route, killing two persons on the spot.
According to Bomet County traffic chief Amos Namasaka, the Narok Kisii Classic bus crashed head-on with the approaching boda boda.
The boda boda rider and his passenger died, and their bodies were brought to the Longisa Hospital mortuary.
Namasaka noted that the cause of the collision could not be determined immediately, and the wreckage was transported to the Longisa police station.

Meanwhile, a school bus and a matatu collided in the Olonini region on the Narok-Bomet route in Narok County on Saturday night, killing six people and injuring 26 others.
According to police, the bus from Mesabisabi Secondary School was traveling from Narok to Bomet, while the Narok Line Services matatu was headed in the opposite direction.

It was raining fiercely, but the bus driver allegedly overtook it hastily, resulting in the collision with the incoming matatu.

Three passengers in the matatu died on the scene, while three more died at Ololunha Hospital.
According to police, 16 passengers had critical injuries, while 10 others were lightly injured.
All were carried to Narok County Referral Hospital, and the deceased’s bodies were also transported to the hospital’s mortuary.
The bus driver is among the survivors.
