Muriithi succeeds Anthony Mwaura, who has since been transferred to the Kenya Rural Roads Authority in the same capacity.
The Head of State also selected Kembi Gitura, former CEO of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), as the next Board Chair of Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital (KUTRRH).
This comes after KUTRRH Board Chair Prof. Olive Mugenda resigned following long-running staff strikes at the facility.
