Peter Muteti’s Father Apologizes As The Uthiru Blogger Still Missing

The father of abducted Uthiru blogger Peter Muteti has apologized to everyone who was offended by his son’s behavior on social media.

Muteti was kidnapped on December 21 while shopping in Uthiru, Nairobi County, by unidentified males wearing masks.

Barnabas Njeru, while making a heartfelt appeal to the authorities to help solve the mystery surrounding his son’s kidnapping, stated that his son’s abduction had traumatized him and his entire family.

“I was shocked on December 21 when I received the news that my son had gone missing. I have since then been worried man,” he said.

“If the young man erred, then I apologise on his behalf. I also want to apologise to Kenyans,” added the distraught father.

The National Police Service has denied any involvement in the purported abduction.

Muteti’s mother, Doricate Njeru, commented on the situation, stating the son’s disappearance has caused uneasiness in the family.

She claims they have never had peace since his whereabouts became unknown.

“I have not been able to have a meal because I am not at peace. It has been tears since he went missing. I ask the government to help us so that our son can be released,” she pleaded.

On the same day, Muteti went missing, another blogger, Billy Mwangi, was apprehended by unknown guys in Embu.

Others reported missing include Bernard Kavuli, who went missing in Nairobi, Steve Mbisi, who was kidnapped in Machakos, Gideon Kibet aka Kibet Bull, who was kidnapped after meeting with a legislator, and Ronny Kiplang’at, who went missing in Kiambu.

The kidnappings have prompted a major outrage on social media, with Kenyans demanding their return.

According to the Kenya National Human Rights Commission, 82 persons have been abducted since June this year with 29 yet to be found.
