MAKUENI UFO OBJECT: KSA Reveals Details Of The Metallic Item Fallen From The Sky

The Kenya Space Agency (KSA) on Wednesday explained an occurrence in which a metallic item fell from the sky and landed in Mukuku Village, Mukuku Sublocation, Nduluku Location, Waia Division, Mbooni East Sub-County, Makueni County.

The incident occurred on December 30, 2024.

The mystery metallic object plummeted from the sky and landed about two kilometres from Mukuku Police Post, causing villagers to panic as they pondered what it was and where it came from.

The Agency stated that the object, a metallic ring about 2.5 meters in diameter and weighing about 500 kilograms, is a part of a space object.

“Preliminary assessments indicate that the fallen object is a separation ring from a launch vehicle (rocket).”

“Such objects are usually designed to burn up as they re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere or to fall over unoccupied areas, such as the oceans,” KSA said in a statement.

It stated that this is an isolated event, and the agency would examine and resolve it using the established procedures under the International Space Law.

KSA personnel raced to the location and, in collaboration with a multi-agency team and local authorities, secured the area and recovered the debris, which is now in the Agency’s possession for further examination.

“The Agency wishes to thank the local residents of Mukuku village for their prompt action in reporting the incident to the authorities and for their cooperation in ensuring public safety,” read part of KSA’s statement.

“We express our gratitude to the local leadership, the multi-agency team, the Makueni County Government, and media houses for disseminating this critical information in a timely manner.”

According to the statement, agency experts will assess the object, identify the owner using current frameworks, and keep the public updated on the following stages and conclusions.

Residents were treated to an unusual sight when they spotted the item.

The Kenya Defence Forces and KSA have undertaken a detailed investigation to determine the origin of the metallic object.
