‘Gov’t Of Constant Lies!’ – Gachagua’s Gloves-Off Attack On Ichung’wah Over Abduction

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has replied to charges that he sponsored Kenyan abductions made by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah.

Gachagua lambasted people accusing him of orchestrating the abductions, claiming that the government is finding it difficult to contain his honesty on important topics.

The Ex-DP was addressing the funeral service for Eric Mutugi, the son of former Embu Speaker Lenny Kivuti, on Friday, January 3.

In response to recent claims linking him to the Ichung’wah abductions, Gachagua dismissed the allegations as governmental diversionary techniques.

“The problem with Kenya is the issue of constant lies and that is probably why I was axed from the government because I stood for the truth,” Gachagua asserted.

Gachagua instead requested the authorities to provide closure on what was happening and the whereabouts of the freshly abducted Kenyans.

“The president recently said that there was no evidence of abductions almost five times. I have just seen his political machine, that Member of Parliament he uses, lying to people that I am the one abducting people,” he added.

Furthermore, he urged the government to quit viewing Kenyans through a separate intelligence lens and instead release the seven abducted teenagers.

“The people of Kenya are very intelligent. And you people are running out of lies. You have lied to the point that you have started believing in your own lies,” he added.

“So, those young men who have been abducted here, who are they? Who are they? Those young men have been abducted.”

Members of Parliament who attended the occasion found themselves in an unusual situation when the former DP charged at them for what he described as being used to polarize their political backyards.

“You MPs here, how foolish can you be? Someone came here with a bible and lied to us, and he has now lied to you to fight your brother. You are now at the fate of these voters who you will have to deal with,” he added.

Gachagua was responding to claims made by Ichung’wah during the burial of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula’s mother in Bungoma County.

“Gachagua was the orchestrator of abductions so that he could blame President Ruto. Shame on you Governor Natembeya,” Ichung’wah said.

“You cannot complain about abductions when you were the key abductor of Kenyans under the last regime.”
