13-Year-Old Girl Raped, Killed And Body Dumped On Coffee Farm
A Kirinyaga family is shocked when their 13-year-old daughter was raped and strangled to death before being abandoned on a coffee estate.
According to relatives, the Grade 7 student left the rest of the family within the compound around 10 a.m., and after a search, she was discovered killed a few meters away from the house.
Police stated the student was sexually abused before being strangled to death, as evidenced by a piece of material found around her neck, and her body was removed from the site.
Blood was seeping from her ears and nose, and her underwear was stolen.
Police have subsequently transferred the deceased to the Kirinyaga County Referral Hospital mortuary as they conduct an inquiry into the event.
Kiambaa Murder
On Saturday morning, police in Kiambaa, Kiambu County, discovered the lifeless body of a 28-year-old lady on the Ruaka-Banana Road near Kamutaro.

The discovery was made when residents reported the event to Karuri Police Station at 7 a.m.
Police arrived at the site and positively identified the dead as Jackline Nyambura Mungai. The body was discovered half-naked, with no evident injuries.

According to a police, her head was tightly tied with a blue t-shirt, covering her mouth and nose, potentially in an attempt to suffocate her.
The scene was then inspected by crime scene detectives, and the body was sent to Kihara Level IV Hospital for storage pending postmortem.
While police have yet to determine the specific circumstances of the killing, preliminary reports indicate that she had been living with 44-year-old Nashon Kuria Wanjiru in a Kamutaro rental flat for about four years.
The apartment is only 200 meters from where the deceased’s body was discovered.
