The camera showed the truck cruising down a freeway drop before the catastrophe occurred. After negotiating a corner, the Probox appears in view, approaching at high speed.
While attempting to handle the curve, the Probox driver appears to lose control and crashes into the truck.
A boda boda rider in close proximity to the truck narrowly escapes death as the truck mistakenly prevents the car ferrying Muguka from colliding with his motorcycle.
The camera revealed no other vehicles at the location at the time of the accident, which happened in the afternoon.
The incident left the Probox in a mangled mess, and the truck’s front bumper was damaged.
Moments after the collision, first responders rushed to the scene to help recover the bodies from the wreckage.
Later photographs circulated on social media showing traffic police from Chuka on the scene, attempting to handle the situation while a mob hovered about the site of the crash.

On Saturday, January 18, an accident occurred in Kwa Toma, near Kyatune Market, killing two people on the roadside: a clergyman and a businessperson.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the Miraa truck lost control and rammed into the people.
Despite their reputation for expertly driving cars ferrying Miraa and Muguka at high speeds, incidents involving this group of drivers continue to be fatal.
This is despite the government setting up strict measures in 2021, where drivers will be provided with safety stickers and required to maintain a speed of below 100kph.
