Gachagua Reveals Amount Offered By Ruto To Resign In Another Bombshell Expose
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua claims that President William Ruto gave him Ksh2 billion in exchange for his resignation as second-in-command of the government.
Gachagua claimed in an interview with Western radio stations at Karen in Nairobi on Tuesday morning that he was impeached for speaking out on issues hurting Kenyans.
He claimed that each Member of Parliament was given a Ksh500,000 token, while Senators received Ksh10 million each to remove him from his government position.
“The president told me to quit so that he can give me Ksh2 billion so that I can go on with my business and have security,” Gachagua alleged.
“He told me to quit so that I could vie in future but I asked myself how can the president plan my future yet he wants me to quit.”

While taking a shot at Ruto’s administration, the former DP also refuted reports of being concerned because of a supposed conspiracy by the government to deprive him of the opportunity to compete for a political position in the 2027 general elections.
According to Gachagua, it is not necessary for him to run for any political office in the country, and despite the threats, he would continue to speak his political views.
“The issues people are trying to bring up—that I cannot vie for any political seat because I was impeached—is none of my business. People think that I love myself too much, it is not a must for me to vie for any political seat in this country,” the former DP said.
“But my right to vie for a seat in this country cannot be withdrawn, if I want to vie for a seat in the future, I will do so, but that is not necessary right now.”
Gachagua also chastised the Head of State for what he described as the government’s reluctance to address the country’s rising abduction rate.

The former DP revealed that he initially raised the subject of abductions while still in government.
Despite pressing the issue multiple times with the Head of State, nothing has been done to put an end to the problem.
Gachagua accused Ruto of contradicting himself by advocating for a ceasefire in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), while Kenyans were still dealing with incidences of unlawful executions and forced disappearances.
“There is nothing wrong our children have committed, they are simply saying that the country is not headed in the right direction and that the country’s economy is in a slump. It is their right to question such issues,” the former DP commented.
