Oscar Sudi Reveals Why President Ruto Can Be Impeached
On Tuesday, February 4, Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi said that President William Ruto is likely to face impeachment if he promotes divisive tribal politics.
“If William Ruto brings tribal politics in the country we are going to impeach him and send him home,” Sudi stated.
Sudi stated that the country’s activities cannot be terminated due to tribalistic politics, emphasizing the importance of continuing operations to drive growth.
The congressman was speaking at the funeral of Dwayne Mungai, a former employee of his entertainment establishment.

Sudi, a close ally of Ruto, emphasized the significance of Kenyan unity, seemingly referring to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who was impeached for fostering tribalism.
“I want you to listen to me carefully. When you see me being hard on tribalism, I want you to understand me,” Sudi noted.
“What we did in Nairobi by impeaching Gachagua, many people currently do not understand, One day you will know it was a must he went. You can not bring a villager to incite all Kenyans.”
“Did you know about Gachagua five years ago? You only came to know him when he became Deputy President,” he added.
Will the country come to a standstill because Gachagua is out of office? If we decide to remove Ruto (from office) will the operations of the country stop?”
Gachagua’s impeachment was confirmed Thursday, October 17, after the Senate affirmed the National Assembly’s resolution to remove him from office.
Gachagua became the first serving DP to be impeached since the new 2010 Constitution, following a special motion submitted by Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse.
Mutuse’s motion outlined 11 grounds for the former DP’s removal, including insubordination to the president, inciting ethnic conflict, corruption, undermining the administration, and money laundering, among others.
Gachagua denied the claims against him, describing them as politically motivated.

However, the Senate, which only needed to find him guilty on one charge to remove him, ruled that he was guilty of five of the eleven charges.
In his speech, Sudi continued his attack on Gachagua, criticizing his development record during his two years in office.
“From morning till evening, it’s all politics, you do not want to build anything,” Sudi affirmed.
“Gachagua was DP for two years and I have been an MP for 12 years. He should bring his development record as deputy. Compared to him, I have outdone him 500 times!””
