
Kenyan Man Arrested In The US For Shooting Wife Dead
John Gitau Mwangi, a 42-year-old Kenyan, was detained in Texas, United States, after reportedly shooting his wife many times at their home.
According to the Killeen Police Department, the victim, 37-year-old Esther Gitau, was shot numerous times during the attack.
Authorities are presently investigating the circumstances of the occurrence.
According to police records in Texas, the woman was discovered with serious injuries at their house on Lakecrest Drive in Killeen on Friday, February 21, after authorities were dispatched to the scene for a welfare check.
The police believe the shooting was related to domestic abuse and have declared that the suspect’s actions pose no risk to the public.

Two of their children were present at the time of the incident and were later discovered unharmed by the responding police officers.
Furthermore, the police revealed that the children appeared to be unconscious of the occurrence in which the father shot their mother.
After executing the horrible deed, the man, who is believed to be serving in the military in a foreign country, fled the scene.
The Robbery-Homicide Unit acquired an arrest warrant for the suspect and conducted a manhunt for him.

He was eventually apprehended at Fort Cavazos, the military installation where he was stationed, and is anticipated to face formal charges in the coming days once investigations are completed.
The suspect is presently being held at the Killeen City Jail, where he faces significant allegations that could result in a life sentence or the death penalty under Texas law.
The event occurred two months after another Kenyan man was detained in the United States on suspicion of killing his partner, who was later discovered dismembered in a car after going missing for a week.
According to Delaware and Maryland police, the man was apprehended after investigations revealed that he may be a person of interest in a love triangle.
