Missing British Businessman Found Dead In Makueni After Interpol Intervention
Campbell Scott, a British businessman who went missing last week in Westlands, Nairobi, has been found dead.
Makueni County Commander Alice Kimeli verified Scott’s death on Monday, February 24, after a decomposing body presumed to be his was recovered in Makongo Forest, roughly 96 kilometers from where he was last seen.
Herders discovered the body in a green sack, and it was initially unclear whether it belonged to the missing 58-year-old.
Notably, the body was highly decomposed, indicating that Scott died hours, if not days, before the discovery.

The DCI has arrested a taxi driver and a nightclub waiter in connection with the abduction and murder of a 58-year-old Briton.

His wrists and legs were bound with a green nylon rope, implying that he was slain elsewhere and discarded in the forest.
Authorities discovered the body and sent it to Nairobi for identification, where it was positively identified as Campbell Scott’s.
A cab driver and a waiter have been held for questioning in connection with the abduction and eventual death of a senior director at a credit score company.
Scott landed in Kenya on Sunday, February 16, and was last seen on February 17 while attending a conference at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi.
His coworker, with whom he traveled to Nairobi, noticed something was wrong on Monday at 6 p.m. when attempts to reach him via his mobile phone were unsuccessful.

An hour later, the hotel urged that the police be involved.
Scott’s tour to Kenya included meetings with officials from the United Kingdom, the United States, and other African countries.
The businessman’s abduction sparked a massive police investigation, aided by Interpol, in the days preceding the terrible discovery on February 24.
According to Police Commander Kimeli, a post-mortem examination will be performed on Tuesday.
