The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has requested providers to bid on a variety of tenders, including the supply of dust jackets, clinic drugs, cleaning services, and insurance coverage, with some tenders designated for specific groups.
TSC stated in a notice published on Tuesday in the government journal MyGov that part of the tenders had been allocated for marginalised groups such as women, youth, and people with disabilities (PWD).

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has opened tenders for dust coats, clinic drugs, cleaning services, and insurance, with some reserved for women, youth, and PWDs under the AGPO program.
The tenders for the fiscal year 2024-2025 were released in an official notice from the TSC, with a submission deadline set between March 18th and 19th, 2025.
The commission has also arranged a sensitization program to teach young people, women, and people with disabilities how to access government procurement possibilities.
“TSC intends to conduct Supplier Sensitisation on Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) to Youth, Women, and People Living with Disabilities on 26th March 2025 from 9.00am to 12.00pm at TSC House, Upper Hill, Kilimanjaro Road, Nairobi,” the commission stated in its notice.
Bidders interested in participating in the tendering process can obtain complete documentation from the Supply Chain Management Services Division at TSC House, or they can be downloaded for free from the TSC website and the Public Procurement Information Portal.
Women are only allowed to supply and distribute white and blue dust coats for the TSC headquarters, as well as clinic pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceutical items, according to the stipulated tenders.
Youth-led enterprises have also been given priority in tenders for window cleaning services and the construction of local area networks at TSC offices across Kenya.
Furthermore, under a two-year framework contract, youth-led enterprises will provide interior and external window cleaning services at TSC House.
Another tender earmarked for youth is to supply, deliver, and install local area networks at various TSC offices, including one regional and four county offices in Kenya.
The same procurement for local area network installation at TSC headquarters has been set aside for youngsters.
Some tenders remain open to all eligible providers, including the provision of complete group assurance cover for TSC commissioners and secretariat workers, for which a Ksh1 million tender security deposit is required.
Similarly, printer maintenance services at TSC headquarters need a Ksh40,000 security deposit.
The commission has issued rigorous submission requirements, requiring enterprises to register their information via email before delivering bid materials.
To maintain transparency, bidders must send papers in sealed envelopes clearly labeled with the tender number and description.

These should be written to the Commission Secretary and deposited in the Tender Box at TSC headquarters by the deadlines. Late entries will not be accepted.
Interested companies must ensure that their bids include critical information such as the company name, address, tender name, phone number, and email address.
Additionally, large documents should be delivered directly to the Head of Procurement’s office at TSC House.
TSC has also planned a pre-bid meeting for select bids on March 11, 2025, when possible bidders can obtain clarification.
