Prominent Kenyan Journalist Quits International Media House, Hints at New Career Path

Flora Limukii, a well-known Kenyan journalist, has resigned from her position with global media outlet CNBC Africa.

Limukii disclosed in a statement that she had left the media industry, hinting at a new career path that she did not pursue.

“Today marks my last day in the newsroom! Nostalgic. Six years down the line! KBC, Tuko, Opera News, Switch TV, TV47, and CNBC Africa. It’s time to shift from the newsroom to the boardroom! It’s been quite a nice ride! Time now for a new challenge,” Limukii noted.

Limukii has been working as a TV presenter and producer at the Kigali-based media firm since late 2023, prior to her new announcement.

Her mission at the media outlet was to cover developmental and business topics, with the goal of amplifying African voices on a worldwide scale.

In addition to her television assignments, Limukii works as a writer for Forbes Africa, demonstrating her exceptional storytelling skills.

Limukii has received significant acclaim at CNBC for her ability to find and narrate captivating narratives from often-overlooked fields, with a concentration on stories that have a deep emotional impact on people.

She has been praised for creating powerful narratives that not only enlighten but also influence and establish societal agendas.

Limukii formerly worked as an anchor and political reporter for TV47 before joining CNBC.

Her entertaining presentation style and intelligent reporting attracted a lot of attention.
