Gachagua Exposes Ruto Plans To Fire Mt Kenya PSs For Raila Allies
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua made a surprising revelation on Monday, March 17, regarding purported requests made by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to President William Ruto prior to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
During an exclusive interview with Kameme FM, Gachagua alleged that Odinga had made requests for more Cabinet Secretary and Principal Secretary positions for Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party members.
“For Raila to support the President, he demanded six cabinet positions just the way we had asked for eight positions in exchange for our votes because that is how a government operates,” Gachagua revealed.

In a further damaging disclosure, Gachagua indicated that major changes were on the way since the process of revamping the senior secretary roles had already begun.
According to Gachagua, the majority of his followers in the Mount Kenya region would be fired soon to make way for the new PSs, who are rumored to support Odinga.
“On Friday, Raila and the President spent the whole day together with Felix Kosgey planning how to reshuffle the PSs,” Gachagua revealed.
“We had negotiated a total of 15 PSs in our agreement with at least one PS from each of the counties and two in Meru, Kiambu, Laikipia, and Nyeri counties.
“Raila is asking for 15 PSs. I have been told he is being given ten. William Ruto is planning to chase away our people,” he added.
“When I was DP, I would try to stop him from such and that is why he disliked me and called me tribal.”
Furthermore, the former DP expressed his disgust with Mount Kenya Region MPs linked with President Ruto for failing to intercede and halt the revamp, which would affect the entire region.
Gachagua remarked that these Mount Kenya leaders may potentially mobilize behind the PSs.

He mentioned the outpouring of support for Health CS Deborah Barasa following speculations of her impending removal.
“I don’t know if we are bewitched or it is the money from President William Ruto that is making our men and women crazy,” Gachagua lamented.
“People are planning for our PSs to be kicked out and our people are just silent.”
Among those he blamed for failing to handle the situation and prevent the impending termination was his successor, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
