‘He Is Coming To Lie, Don’t Mix Cash!’ – Gachagua Warns Mt Kenya Residents Of Ruto

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has warned Mt Kenya locals not to believe President William Ruto’s assurances when he visits the region next week.

Addressing residents of Naivasha in Nakuru County on Saturday, March 29, Gachagua chastised Kenya’s president for habitually lying to the people.

According to the former DP, Ruto’s consistent lies made it difficult for them to collaborate, and he said that Ruto constantly pushed him into lying to Kenyans.

While commenting on Ruto’s impending tour of the Mt Kenya region, Gachagua revealed a well-thought-out strategy by senior government officials to bribe villagers to support the president.

Despite urging villagers not to trust the president, Gachagua urged them to accept cash bribes but not to take the money home.

“What has destroyed President Ruto’s government is lies; he is a liar, and that is the truth. He lies every time, and that is why we could not work together,” Gachagua alleged.

“Even now, he is preparing to visit this region with sacks of money. He is coming to lie, but I want to tell you to prepare and receive the money but do not take it home,” he added.

Gachagua further urged citizens to demand more money because the head of state was merely there to squander their time by making false promises.

He further warned the villagers not to invest the money and instead to use it in markets and to pay off their debts, warning that doing so would bring them bad luck.

“Standing to listen to lies should be from Ksh3000, let us agree, and women who cheer up should be given Ksh10,000, and clapping should be charged Ksh2000,” Gachagua commented.

“That money should not be taken home, it must be used in the marketplace because that money is cursed. It should not be mixed with the old cash,” he added.

Ruto is scheduled to begin his development tour to the Mount Kenya region in the first week of April, following a week of high-level consultations with regional officials.

His tour will begin in Laikipia County, then to Meru, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Muranga, Tharaka Nithi, Embu County, and finally to Nyeri and Kiambu County on April 5.
