Juja MP Breaks Silence Weeks After Reported Abduction
Juja MP George Koimburi has finally spoken out, exposing horrifying facts of his alleged kidnapping.
His abduction caused heated controversy in Kenyan political circles. His absence sparked curiosity, with some sources claiming he faked the abduction.
Speaking from his hospital bed, the MP denied the allegations, confirming the kidnapping and reliving the terrible experience.
He claimed that on May 25, while he was leaving a church service at Full Gospel Churches of Kenya, unknown assailants stopped him, blindfolded him, and forced him into their custody.
“It was May 25. I had just attended a church service and was on my way out when I encountered goons who covered my eyes and drugged me through my nose,” Koimburi narrated.

The abrupt attack knocked him out, and what followed is a fog in his memories.
“When I regained consciousness the next day, I found myself in a coffee farm where I got a good Samaritan, a boda boda rider who informed my family, who came to rescue me and brought me to this hospital,” he continued.
The MP went on to decry not only his alleged abduction but also the country’s increasing rate of forced disappearances and torture.
Koimburi, who describes himself as a firsthand victim of the abductions, has advocated for increased security in the country.
“I’d like to urge Kenyans to continue praying for our country and our government,” the MP said.
“The government should also take this matter seriously; we should not let those responsible walk freely and continue with the abductions.”

Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja accused Koimburi of staging the infamous kidnapping for political gain.
Interrogating three additional suspects in the purported abduction revealed significant and inconsistent gaps that disproved the violent abduction theory.
Police chiefs were perplexed as to why the MP, who was aligned with former DP Rigathi Gachagua, had to stage his kidnapping in order to stir up political tensions in the country.
Koimburi’s revelation has sparked renewed security worries and forced disappearances in Kenya, with many urging for extensive investigations into his case.
