ODM Blasts Gachagua For Calling Raila Odinga A ‘Broker’
Gladys Wanga, governor of Homa Bay and chairperson of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), has advised opposition leaders not to criticize former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Wanga, speaking in Homa Bay County during Albert Ojwang’s burial, urged the leaders to seek an alternative and more relevant agenda rather than criticizing Odinga.
“Leave Raila alone. We cannot have an opposition of scavengers and clueless fellows who do not know what they are talking about, and all they are talking about is Raila,” Wanga warned.
The Governor of Homa Bay condemned recent attacks on Odinga by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and other opposition politicians, calling them superficial and destructive.
“You fellows who are walking around Kenya trying to divide the nation along tribal lines and hung on the course that Gen Zs have walked faithfully on are wrong,” she continued.
The governor also defended the Broad-Based Government, promising locals that they will continue to follow Raila and Ruto’s lead despite criticism.

Wanga’s comments come amid rising political tensions within the opposition.
This comes after Raila worked with Ruto in the broad-based government, prompting some Azimio-affiliated politicians to accuse him of treason.

Furthermore, the governor accused the opposition of utilizing Generation Z-led rallies to destabilize the administration and position himself for power.
“The Gen Z will not allow you to hijack that course for your selfish reasons,” Wanga continued.
Wanga further stated that the party is devoted to its course and would not be intimidated into abandoning its leader.
