School Bus Accident Kills Teacher, Leaves Several Children Injured

A teacher died and several children were injured in a road accident in the Masai area, Taita Taveta.

The students were brought to Mikindani Hospital to be treated.

The late teacher was among the students at the music festival when the disaster occurred.

Badi Twalib Bady, Member of Parliament for the Jomvu Constituency, paid the students a visit in the hospital.

“I visited the students receiving treatment at Mikindani Hospital following the heartbreaking road accident that tragically claimed the life of a devoted teacher,” Bady said in a statement on his official Facebook page.

Following the visit, he went to Mikindani Comprehensive School, where he met with concerned parents and the sorrowful school community.

“I shared words of comfort, helped calm the situation, and urged everyone to remain patient as we await further updates,” he said.

The MP promised to cover all medical bills for the injured students and assured the community of his unwavering support during this trying period.

“We will walk through this pain together, step by step, until healing comes,” he said.

“My heart goes out to the bereaved family, the students, and the entire school community.”

Road accident rates in the country remain a major concern.
