MAGARINI: ODM Candidate’s Agents Locked Out Of Polling Station
Harrison Kombe, the Orange Democratic Movement’s (ODM) candidate for Magarini Member of Parliament, claims that his agents were denied entrance to voting sites during the ongoing by-election.
Speaking at Mjanaheri Primary School on November 27, 2025, Kombe indicated that he had received no official reason for his agents’ exclusion from the voting place, despite the fact that the ODM Party’s agents had access.
He insisted that there is adequate space to support both sets of agents, implying that there must be an underlying motivation.

He gave a clear warning, stating that if he discovers an agenda for which he is unprepared, he will expose it.
Following the event at Mjanaheri Primary School, Kombe called into question the transparency of the current voting process.
He expressed fear that the by-elections could be rigged, noting a lack of access to agents as suspicious.
The candidate voiced complete distrust in the process, claiming that the person who chose the Party’s agents is someone he feels is working against him.

Kombe announced that he would personally visit some of Magarini’s 193 polling sites to check the presence of his operatives and watch the election process.
Prior to the election, many parties raised concerns about potential intervention.
DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua said that IEBC Vice Chairperson Fahima Araphat Abdallah was involved in attempts to sway the outcome.
The Commissioner, Dr. Alutalala Mukhwana, while in Magarini, dismissed reports of impending violence or insecurity.
Mukhwana noted that all procedures had been followed and that the by-election would proceed under the oversight of accredited observers and party agents.

The commission has deployed security personnel across the constituency and emphasized that the exercise will adhere to electoral laws.
