VIDEO: How Careless Somali TikTokers Disrupt Highway Traffic
A crew of daredevil Somali TikTok makers has sparked uproar online for their risky highway exploits, which are packaged as content creation and aimed at shock value.
These makers, who employ traffic provocation as the foundation of their entertainment, typically film their content by flagrantly breaking traffic laws.
This obstructs traffic, aggravates drivers, and hogs the road in a clear violation of the law that has shocked Kenyans.
Normally, they set up the camera and then, in groups of two or three, leap into the middle of the road as automobiles swoosh by.

Then, to avoid a collision, they strategically leap off the road as soon as a speeding vehicle approaches them.
These young creators are so fearless that they sit right in the midst of the bustling tarmac, while minivans, saloon cars, trucks, and buses can be seen rushing down the road.
Nonetheless, they stay unconcerned as speeding automobiles approach them, casually and calmly.

They simply dart off the road, laughing madly, delighted to have caused yet another incident on a busy thoroughfare.
One of these daring stunts was recently posted online. The video shows one of the creators wearing a beige sweater and green slacks.
He casually approaches the road, high-fiving his colleague and then circling before a speeding bus knocks him down in a resounding thud.
No news about his present condition.
Another video shows yet another batch of these Somali artisans, this time all women, strolling down the same busy route in a group of three while cars speed past.

Cornered, she raises her arms as both bikers ride around her to prevent a fatal accident.
People familiar with the gang have said that these producers typically carry out these careless antics near the Muthaiga underpass, right at the slip road off the highway.
Kenyans on social media, especially on TikTok and X, have called out the antics, blasted the creators and even called for the arrest of these delinquents for risking their own lives and those of other road users.
