UDA Governor Reshuffles Cabinet Affecting 14 Departments

West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin has reshuffled his County Executive Committee, affecting 16 departments in the county.

The reshuffle, which occurred on December 2, was based on recommendations from the County Public Service Board.

Naomi Cherotich has been appointed County Chief Officer in Charge of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation, and Fisheries as part of the reorganization.

She has also been assigned to the Finance and Economic Planning Department in an acting role.

Edwin Pkemei Lokomoi has been handed the Sports Department, while Rebecca Chebet Kochulem is in charge of the Tourism and Culture Department.

Leonard Rutto currently directs the Water and Natural Resources Department, while Lilian Korinyang oversees Vocational and Technical Training.

The West Pokot governor also appointed Reuben Lotumale, Benjamin Tukei, Abraham Pkiach, and Daniel Lopale to the Roads and Transport Department, Youth Affairs Department, Lands and Physical Planning Department, and Special Programs Department, respectively.

The changes have also affected the Public Service Management Department, which has seen David Clap Chepelion as the new Chief Officer. Christopher Alisoreng will now head the Cooperative Development Department.

The Education and Early Childhood Development Department will be led by Julius Kakadon, as Joel Limakina heads the Trade, Industry, and Energy Department.

Irene Jerop Lopakale has been tasked with the Health and Sanitation Department in West Pokot County.

The Housing and Urban Development Program is now under Amanule Samson.

The governor has also announced the appointment of Emmanuel Mtelo to work in the office of the governor.
