“Construction of the Bomas International Convention Complex is progressing well,” he said.
“The project is being delivered around the clock, employing up to 3,000 workers daily, to ensure it is completed by April 2026.”

Adding, “It is designed to meet modern global conference standards and positions Kenya as Africa’s leading conference destination.”
The facility, which is adjacent to the existing Bomas of Kenya cultural institution in Nairobi, has been dubbed a flagship project in the country’s efforts to enhance corporate tourism and attract high-profile events.
According to government officials, the complex will have a major plenary hall, breakout meeting rooms, an exhibition space, and support facilities large enough to accommodate thousands of delegates.
Ruto also stated that the investment is already producing results in the global meetings industry, noting that foreign organisers have begun confirming events ahead of schedule.
“The facility has already been booked to host the France Africa Summit on May 12, 2026, even before completion,” he said.
“This demonstrates our commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure that propels Kenya towards first-world status.”
