In a statement issued on Sunday, December 28, 2025, the Authority stated that the severe weather has greatly raised road safety risks, with limited visibility and slick road surfaces being major concerns.
“Ongoing heavy rainfall and foggy conditions are affecting some parts of the country, significantly heightening road risks due to reduced visibility and slippery surfaces,” NTSA wrote on X.
“We strongly urge drivers, motorcyclists, pedestrians, and cyclists to exercise extreme caution.”
The advice comes at a time when many people are traveling, hosting family gatherings, or participating in outdoor activities over the holiday season, making weather conditions a priority for public safety and daily preparation.
