Popular Radio Host Involved In a Car Accident
Nick Odhiambo, a Hot 96 radio personality, escaped unharmed after his automobile was involved in an accident on New Year’s Eve, leaving it heavily damaged.
The renowned radio broadcaster took to social media in the early hours of January 1, 2026, to break the terrible news to his fans and followers.
Odhiambo told followers that the mishap was caused by exhaustion, confessing that he was driving while exhausted at the time of the incident.
“Everything was going really well until I decided to drive while exhausted… it seems like I might have to get another car soon. Goodbye, my cute A5,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
The front area of his automobile was severely damaged, yet the renowned host did not reveal the specific site of the accident.

Despite the considerable damage to his vehicle, Odhiambo was relieved that the situation could have been far worse.
He also wrote an impassioned note to his children, but he did not say whether they were in the car when it crashed.

Nick Odhiambo has been a household name in Kenyan media for almost 18 years, beginning his career with Classic 105 in 2006.
He later worked for Radio Maisha until joining Hot 96 in 2021, where he co-hosts the breakfast show with veteran journalist Jeff Koinange.
Odhiambo, known for his strong voice and appealing wit, has starred on local television shows such as ‘Auntie Boss’ and ‘The XYZ Show.’
