RUGBY: HSBC Sevens Announces Prohibited Things At Nyayo Stadium

Fans attending the HSBC SVNS 2 competition this weekend at Nyayo National Stadium must meet tight entry criteria, which include no on-site parking, no outside food or drinks, and no gate ticket sales.

The entirely sold-out event, which will take place on February 14 and 15, 2026, has compelled organisers to take severe steps to manage the large numbers expected at Kenya’s historic rugby sevens competition.

Attendees are highly encouraged to use ride-hailing services, public transportation, drop-offs, or shared rides to get to the venue, and organizers advise fans to arrive early to prevent crowds at access gates.

Event organizers have confirmed that no tickets would be sold at the gate after advance sales are sold out, marking the first time the tournament has reached full capacity attendance.

Security agencies and police will collaborate with event organizers to combat ticket fraud.

Anyone caught holding or attempting to use counterfeit tickets faces prosecution and will be denied access to the stadium.

Outside food and drinks, drones, pets, firearms, illicit drugs or substances, and any other harmful objects are not permitted within the arena, with extensive security checks scheduled at all gates.

There are four designated entrance points: VIP and VVIP ticket holders must enter via Aerodrome Road, but normal ticket holders can use one entrance on Lang’ata Road and two on Uhuru Highway.
