KRA, Affordable Housing Announces Job Vacancies; How To Apply
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Affordable Housing Board (AHB) have announced job opportunities that Kenyans could grab on March 2.
At the AHB, the recruitment is part of its mandate to provide a framework for development and access to affordable and institutional housing for millions of citizens living in the country.
The Housing Board has advertised 49 special categories, which include high-profile roles like General Managers, Architects, and Urban Planners, alongside entry-level positions like Office Assistants and Drivers, in a bid to manage its growing administrative operations since its inception in late 2022 by President William Ruto.
Specifically, the board is seeking a Corporation Secretary, General Managers for Fund Services and Internal Audit, as well as Managers for Information Communication and Technology (ICT), Planning, and Human Resource Management, to streamline their newly established organisational structure.
Elsewhere, the KRA is looking for Deputy Commissioners and specialised Managers to handle delicate tasks within its Revenue, Research, and Corporate Planning departments to enhance national tax collection efforts, roles that have been advertised for more than 3 months.
KRA is particularly keen on filling technical roles such as Managers for Digital Communication, Data and Big Data Operations, and Quality Master Data Management to modernise its systems for better service delivery to taxpayers.
For these roles, KRA particularly affirmed that it will not be biased in selection, whether on the basis of gender or merit, with persons with disabilities and minorities highly encouraged to apply, and that it is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
“KRA is committed to affording equal employment opportunities to men and women, members of all ethnic groups, and persons with disabilities. Persons with disabilities, the marginalised, and the minorities are therefore encouraged to apply,” stated KRA.
For those eyeing the Deputy Commissioner roles at KRA, the application window remains open until March 24, and all submissions must be made through its organisational online portal to be considered valid.

Meanwhile, the Affordable Housing Board has set a much tighter timeline, requiring all interested and eligible candidates to submit their credentials via their official portal by March 17, at exactly 5:00 PM.
Applicants for the Housing roles are expected to include their National ID, academic certificates, and a detailed CV indicating their current remuneration and three professional referees to prove their suitability for the advertised vacancies, with strict instructions that no physical documentation will be allowed.
Both bodies have, however, warned that any form of fake documentation or providing misleading information will lead to automatic disqualification and potential prosecution under the Public Officers Ethics Act, which governs all recruitment processes in the country.
“No physical applications will be allowed. All applications must be submitted via the portal. It is an offence to include incorrect or misleading information in the applications as per the provisions of the Public Officers Ethics Act, 2003,” stressed AHB.
