“My MAIN Business Is To Monitor You Till 2027 Elections!” – Murkomen Warns Gachagua
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has stated that monitoring former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s activities will be his top emphasis until the 2027 general election.
Murkomen accused Gachagua of instigating violence and promised to take serious action against him.
Murkomen claimed Gachagua was a threat to national security and public order, and that security authorities would closely monitor his movements and actions.
The Interior CS was speaking at the Kaptilol Grounds in Kaptarakwa Ward, Elgeyo-Marakwet County on Saturday.
“Rigathi Gachagua, my business now until Kenya crosses 2027 safely is to monitor your activities in the Republic of Kenya,” Murkomen stated.

“Hiyo kazi nitafanya usiku na mchana, you’re my single most important point of focus because of the threat you’re posing as the father of violence.”
He added, “Now that you’ve abrogated the duty of instilling fear and violence, naming Kenyans and blackmailing them, I want to tell you that we will deal with you firmly.”
The Interior CS also claimed that Gachagua had been soliciting money from political candidates and intimidating some of them.
He also alleged that the DCP leader uses the proceeds to organize criminal gangs, charges for which he provided no evidence.
“I know that you have been collecting money from potential aspirants, intimidating some of them, promising them certificates,” he claimed.
“We know the money you’re collecting; you’re using it to prepare goons, we will deal with you.”
Murkomen also alleged that Gachagua had been intimidating businesses that had declined to finance his political activities, adding that security agencies were monitoring his every move.
“You must know that we know all your activities, intimidating businesses that have refused to give you campaign money, using goons and criminals in Mt Kenya and other parts,” he said.

Murkomen maintained that while he would be accommodating to law-abiding citizens, he would take a hardline approach against those accused of planning violence.
“I am a Christian. I’m a good-hearted man. When it comes to good citizens who are keeping the law, I will be as gentle as a dove,” he said.
“We will sing together. We will live together. We will laugh together. But when it comes to criminals and planners of violence like Rigathi, I will be very ruthless and I have no apology to make.”
Murkomen’s latest remarks add to the escalating war of words between the two leaders.
The former Senator and Gachagua have repeatedly accused each other of plotting violence, sponsoring goons and fuelling political unrest ahead of the 2027 General Election.
