Kalonzo’s Youth Voter Registration Plea

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged Kenyans to register as voters ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Musyoka stated that the upcoming polls will provide citizens with an opportunity to determine the country’s future through the ballot.

Speaking at a youth empowerment event in Machakos, Kalonzo urged eligible Kenyans, particularly young people, to ensure they are registered to vote before the August 10, 2027 General Election.

He said public participation in the electoral process is essential for strengthening democracy and enabling citizens to hold leaders accountable.

In his address, the opposition leader sharply criticised the Kenya Kwanza administration, accusing it of failing to uphold accountability and good governance.

He appealed to Kenyans across the country to unite and actively participate in the electoral process.

“I’m calling on all Kenyans who love this country to unite, continue to register as voters if you are not already done so,” Kalonzo said.

“Ensure that in August next year, precisely on the 10th, because this date is written in our Constitution, we send a very clear message to William Ruto.”

The Wiper leader argued that the country deserves leadership that is transparent, accountable and committed to serving the public interest.

“A government lacking in accountability and focused on theft, corruption and conflict of interest cannot be tolerated by the people of Kenya.”

The remarks come as political activity continues to intensify ahead of the 2027 General Election, with political parties increasingly focusing on voter mobilisation and grassroots engagement.
