[CCTV VIDEO] Panic, Fear Grips Nairobi As Gunmen Rob Customers Inside Restaurant
CCTV footage has gone viral on social media, showing armed criminals and robbers storming a restaurant in Nairobi’s Westlands district and robbing patrons overnight.
The incident occurred on Saturday night, July 4, and left numerous patrons horrified when armed men entered the eatery, robbed them, and escaped.
According to the restaurant’s CCTV, two males, one in a white hoodie and the other in a blue jacket, enter the café after being dropped off by a motorcycle at 10:35 p.m.
The two men brandish their firearms as they enter the café, commanding the customers who are seated inside.
In the footage, the suspects appear to move swiftly through the premises, with terrified customers seen attempting to comply as the situation unfolds.

In what appears to be the attackers ordering customers to surrender their belongings, they are seen taking phones and other accessories belonging to the customers at gunpoint as the robbery unfolded within the establishment.
In less than 30 seconds, the robbery had already come to an end, and the robbers had already left the premises.
A security officer stationed at the cafe is seen trying to confront one of the attackers, but he is overpowered.

By around 10:35, the robbers are seen threatening to shoot in the air in an effort to frighten those in the area before fleeing on motorcycles.
The video has sparked concerns online, with the public calling for heightened security in the city, particularly in hotels, restaurants, and cafes.
Police, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), as well as the Ministry of Interior, have also been called to investigate the matter, with many raising concerns over increasing insecurity in the capital.
At the time of this publication, the police or relevant authorities had not issued any statement regarding the matter, as the public continued to debate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
