Uhuru’s ‘Super Coalition’ Rumors Causes Jitters In Kenya Kwanza Camp, Ruto Allies Vow To Fight
Allies of President William Ruto have intensified attacks on former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
They are accusing him of quietly orchestrating a political alliance aimed at unseating the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse claimed it was unfair for the former President to rally political forces against President Ruto despite the unwavering support the Head of State gave him throughout his two terms in office.
Mutuse was speaking during a church service at AIC Watuka in Mbooni Constituency on Sunday.
According to Mutuse, Ruto remained loyal to Uhuru when many leaders doubted him and worked tirelessly to ensure he won both the 2013 and 2017 General Elections.
The legislator further argued that the former President should instead appreciate the current administration’s achievements.
He claimed that President Ruto was implementing key development programmes that had not been realised under Uhuru’s administration.
“It is unfortunate for the former President to turn against the very leader who stood with him throughout his presidency,” Mutuse said.
The legislator insisted that Ruto had remained steadfast in supporting Uhuru during his decade in office.
Mutuse also urged the former Head of State to retire from active politics, saying Kenyans had elected President Ruto and should allow him to implement his development agenda without what he termed unnecessary political distractions.

The remarks come amid efforts by opposition leaders to strengthen their political cooperation ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The attention now shifts to an upcoming meeting of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Council that Uhuru is expected to chair in his capacity as the coalition’s council chairperson.
The latest exchange comes amid heightened political activity ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The opposition leaders have intensified consultations after Kalonzo repeatedly ruled out working with President William Ruto and called for unity among like-minded leaders.
Formed ahead of the 2022 General Election to support Raila Odinga’s presidential bid, Azimio remains one of Kenya’s largest opposition coalitions despite Raila’s defeat to President William Ruto.
The latest political exchanges also revive the fallout between Ruto and Uhuru, who were elected together in 2013 and re-elected in 2017 before parting ways ahead of the 2022 General Election, when Uhuru backed Raila Odinga while Ruto successfully won the presidency.
