BREAKING: Body Parts Found In Sacks Dumped Near Mathare River
A sack containing various human body parts has been discovered in Kariobangi, near the Riverside Bridge on the Mathare River.
Speaking to the press, Habib Omar, a human rights activist from the Kariobangi Social Justice Centre who is on the scene, said that the various parts of the body were disposed of in separate sacks.
The components are believed to be in different sacks, with one sack holding what appears to be the majority of the body.
It is unclear when the body was dumped, or whether it was placed in the region and then pulled by the sea.

Another sack with body parts has been discovered at Kariobangi/Riverside Bridge along Mathare River. These grim discoveries are becoming disturbingly routine, with bodies being found almost daily in our rivers. Our rivers have tragically turned into morgues. pic.twitter.com/IvxjnETNux
They have yet to identify whether the parts are from one body or multiple. According to Omar, cops have yet to arrive at the location.
Agitated citizens have claimed that they have been waiting for the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) personnel from the homicide department, who have been taking too long to respond.
A huge throng has gathered along the river, waiting for the authorities to arrive so they can open the sack. The residents had been waiting for the DCI officers’ response since 7 a.m.
DCIO Starehe was one of the first to respond, attempting to calm the people who were visibly angry and continued to question the whereabouts of the DCI officers.

Mr Amani, the Starehe DCIO, observed the retrieval of the remains and claimed that the body pieces were from a female who had already disappeared, but only a few parts were found.
“These are body parts that the police have been looking for over the past five days,” the DCIO claimed.
“It is not a fresh body, we already had a female body with missing parts in our possession, and these are the parts we have been looking for.”
