MAYHEM! 4 Gangsters Saved From Irate Mob By Police In Kirinyaga

Business came to a halt in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County when enraged townspeople attempted to lynch four suspected criminals after they set fire to their vehicle.

The homeowners had attacked the suspects and set fire to their vehicle when police officers arrived on a tip-off in time to spare their lives.

Residents reported that the suspects raided an M-Pesa shop in the central business district and robbed a woman at gunpoint of an unknown sum of money.

The gangsters then rushed into a white car and attempted to flee, but were stopped by a truck carrying bread.

The woman who runs the M-Pesa shop then sounded the alarm, attracting folks from all over town. Sensing danger, the criminals alighted and fled on foot, but were apprehended by passersby.

The accused’ cry for mercy from the mob in the middle of the afternoon fell on deaf ears.

The enraged mob battered and severely injured the accused, and their appeals for mercy went unheard.

Just as the residents were about to lynch them, cops arrived and saved them.

They were transported to a local police station and arrested for questioning.
