‘Culture Of Lies Influenced Kasongo Nickname!’ – DAP-K’s Wamalwa To Ruto
Eugene Wamalwa, the leader of the Democratic Action Party-Kenya, has criticized President William Ruto for referring to opposition politicians as “frauds,” claiming that such words undermine the president’s office.
Eugene stated that the opposition will continue to keep the Kenya Kwanza government accountable to ensure it acts appropriately.
Wamalwa stressed that opposition leaders have pledged to repeal policies adopted by the Kenya Kwanza government that oppress ordinary Kenyans following the next general election.
He was addressing the funeral of Matthew Wandati, a Strathmore University student who was found killed, in the Kapsitwet neighborhood on Kitale’s outskirts.
Eugene said that, as the opposition, they will continue to remind the public of the detrimental consequences of the Kenya Kwanza government’s policies, particularly in sectors such as education and economics.
Freedom is not given by the Oppressor, it is demanded by the Oppressed as Martin Luther King jr once said.

You cannot talk about oppression without talking about the Oppressor and his oppressive policies, just like you cannot preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ without preaching… pic.twitter.com/MbrAHx5sHg
He emphasized that, in addition to criticizing the government, their responsibility is to ensure accountability and that ordinary Kenyans’ interests are protected in the future administration.

“We must say who is causing it for our manifesto when the time comes. Kenyans know what we stand for, including reversing your bad policies, and the failed policy in the education sector,” he said.
“Particularly the higher education funding model, the court has already declared it unconstitutional, including housing levy and the SHA thing we intend to reverse these policies.
“And we have better policies that we are putting in place. So for now, our role as opposition is oversight. We must, you President, and we must call you what wananchi are calling you,” Eugene Wamalwa, the leader of DAP Kenya.”
“They are calling you Zakayo because of taxes, they are calling you Kasongo because of the culture of lies. So we will not stop talking about you.”
