‘I Left With 5M Votes, We Will Walk Together!’ – Gachagua Tells Kamba Community
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has stated that politics is a mathematical game, however, it is primarily addition rather than subtraction.
Gachagua stated that as the ‘people’s opposition,’ they were determined to build connections by uniting and networking with like-minded leaders around the country ahead of the 2027 general election.
He stated that their major goal is to establish a strong political front to confront President William Ruto’s administration on August 9, 2027.
The former second-in-command advised the Kamba community to support the newly formed Gikuyu, Embu, Meru, and Akamba movement (GEMA) as a means of strengthening their political base.
For 5 minutes and 48 seconds, Gachagua ranted about Gema,Kamba ruling for 100 years but he never mentioned a single reason why he wants power,no explanation on what he thinks he will do. Just chest thumping! pic.twitter.com/n6Wkiv50Jy

“I’m happy to come back to Machakos; you are our cousins. Sijui shetani aliingia wapi katikati yetu, lakini God’s time is the best,” Gachagua said.
“Sisi tumerudiana, we are the same people; we talk the same language; we will walk together.”
On Sunday, he addressed the Gospel Confirmation Centre Church in Machakos County.
Gachagua was accompanied by numerous MPs, senators, and lady representatives from the Central area, as well as their Ukambani counterparts, the majority of whom were elected on Wiper Democratic Party lists.
“God has planned we reunite. Let me assure you people from the Ukambani region, this GEMA (Gikuyu, Embu, Meru and Akamba. Hi ndio dawa ya Kenya,” he said.
He told the Akamba people that unity will lead to the formation of the next government.
Gachagua said that he departed the government with five million votes, which he mobilized in 2022.
He said that after he was impeached, all five million people in the Mt. Kenya region abandoned the Kenya Kwanza government.
“This time around, while with you, we will form the government together. There is no going backwards. They thought they could chase me and remain with my people; I left with my people,” Gachagua said.
Gachagua continued, “Politics is a game of mathematics. Hesabu ya siasa ni addition, not subtraction; let’s unite and join other Kenyans as one group.
“Sisi na nyinyi tunataka tukue Mt. Kenya moja. Kwanza tuunganishe, once tumeunganisha, tuko na marafiki wengi sana Umasaaini, Kisii, Luhya na Pwani.”
Gachagua is a comedian who was sleeping on his talent.

Ruto anadharau Kalonzo na hajui ni yeye ndio atampeleka nyumbani, alinidharau nikatoka na watu wote. Raila ndio amemshikilia, akimuachilia ataisha!- Rigathi Gachagua pic.twitter.com/4jKw16PbZj
He stated that they would win the 2027 general elections in round one because there will be no runoff.
“If we unite as GEMA, for the next 100 years, we will be in government every election,” Gachagua said.
Gachagua stated that the Ukambani region’s main difficulties are water and land.
Kitui Senator Enock Wambua has stated that Kalonzo will not join the Kenya Kwanza administration.

He stated that as the people’s faithful opposition, they would remain on their side, even if only Kalonzo and Gachagua were present.
“Our leaders, Kalonzo and Gachagua, this country is looking for you. Never at any time partways, remain united for the country’s best interest. Don’t let the struggle for power divide you,” Wambua said.
Wiper Party National Organizing Secretary and Kathiani MP Robert Mbui stated that their party leader, Kalonzo, had asked them to host the former deputy president.
“Tumetumwa hapa ili tuje tukukaribishe Ukambani. Tumetumwa na the last Vice President of the Republic of Kenya, Kalonzo Musyoka,” Mbui said.
