‘I’m willing to talk with Ruto!’ – Kalonzo Says Outlining Conditions
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has expressed willingness to meet with President William Ruto to discuss the selection of the next IEBC head.
He, however, stresses that he would not engage in any political cooperation with the Kenya Kwanza government.
The former vice president dismissed allegations that he was in talks with President Ruto’s team, calling them empty speculation.
He spoke as Gladys Muthui launched her book “Moving Beyond Limitation” at the Gospel Outreach Church, Joska Transformation Centre in Nairobi.
“People should not panic or claim that Kalonzo has gone to State House,” he said.

“If it’s about meeting Ruto to agree on who should be the next IEBC chairperson, then I am ready for that meeting.”
Kalonzo restated his commitment to running for president in 2027, asking Kenyans to vote wisely in the upcoming elections.
“The next time I meet Ruto will be when he is handing over power, just like Uhuru did,” he added.
Kalonzo’s comments come as he actively seeks coalitions with major opposition members, including former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, ahead of the 2027 elections.
He recently lambasted ODM leader Raila Odinga for signing a cooperation pact with President Ruto, describing it as a betrayal.
Meanwhile, the screening panel for the IEBC chairwoman and commissioners will begin interviews on Monday, March 17.
