Woman Delivers On Nairobi-bound Ena Coach Bus

After going into labor while on the bus, a mother was helped by passengers and ENA Coach bus workers to deliver a healthy baby.

The event occurred on Tuesday evening, July 7, after the woman boarded a Nairobi-Sori bus and began suffering labor pains shortly after the voyage began.

Speaking to the press, ENA Coach and Social Media Manager Willish Adur stated that the event occurred near the National Museum.

Following the successful delivery, the mother and baby were handed over to Red Cross authorities, who transported them to Mountain View Hospital.

“The woman boarded a bus from Nairobi heading to Sori, and approaching the National Museum, she started experiencing labour,” Adur said on a phone call.

“We called the Kenya Red Cross, who responded swiftly and took them to Mountain View Hospital for further medical attention.”

In response to the occurrence, ENA Coach management confirmed that their staff and other passengers moved in to assist the mother with delivery.

“This evening, a healthy baby was safely delivered aboard our Nairobi–Sori bound bus, KDK 036U. We are immensely proud of our staff and fellow passengers who stepped up with care and compassion during this remarkable experience.”

“Welcome to the world, Baby 036U – may your life be filled with health, happiness, and endless adventures,” the ENA Coach stated.

Following a successful delivery, the mom and her newborn were sent to a local hospital for admittance and additional medical care.

This tragedy occurred just a few months after another woman gave birth on another ENA Coach bus departing from Nairobi.

“Remarkably, this joyful event comes just under two months after we welcomed Baby 035U on one of our buses. From all of us here, congratulations to the proud mother and her family,” a statement by Ena Coach read.

Second Baby In Two Months

Kenyans were overjoyed on May 14 when a passenger aboard aided a woman in delivering her baby after she went into labor during the flight.

The event occurred in the morning, as the bus left Nairobi at 7:30 a.m. for Nyamira and Kendu Bay.

During a phone chat with the Adur, he confirmed that the passenger went into labour after leaving near the Ngara flyover.

Adur said that the expectant mother began experiencing labour pains in the bus, forcing passengers to take action. They were taken to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.

“Today, we are lucky that we got a visitor on one of our buses after just celebrating Mother’s Day last week. Our Nairobi-Kindu Bay-bound bus left Nairobi at 7:30 am,” the officer said.
