From Morning Walks To Sharing Tea: How Gachagua Is Wooing Mbeere North
On Saturday, November 22, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua went for an early morning stroll around Mbeere North’s communities, connecting with inhabitants and applauding their tenacity and commitment.
Gachagua interacted directly with community members throughout the exercise, which was part of his expanded grassroots mobilization ahead of the November 27 by-elections. He heard their worries and aspirations.
Speaking with people, Gachagua praised their dedication to developing a stronger Mbeere North and a better Kenya.
“Early and healthy morning walk through the villages of Mbeere North reminds me of the resilience and determination of our people,” he said.
“Listening to the voices of the residents, I am inspired and applaud their resolute commitment to building a better Mbeere North and a stronger Kenya.”

The previous Deputy President used the opportunity to emphasize the community’s dedication to fair and transparent elections.
He advised locals to maintain integrity and avoid any type of malpractice during the next elections.
“Deep in Karingiri village, the community has spoken loud and clear. They are well-informed and united,” he added.
Gachagua has recently increased grassroots engagement in Mbeere North while maintaining his support for Newton Karish, the Democratic for Citizens Party (DCP) candidate for the constituency.
He described Karish as a people-oriented leader with a strong vision for the constituency’s future.
Earlier on November 18, the DCP leader stated that he is entirely aligned with local voters, hailing the “awakened and hardworking villagers of Mbeere North,” who are ready for political rebirth.

He spoke during his early-morning door-to-door campaign, which involved walking through communities and addressing individuals personally.
He stated that the personal meetings strengthened his opinion that Karish is the best candidate for the constituency.
Gachagua said he will continue visiting homes and villages to ensure voters hear the message of what he termed a liberation agenda.
He framed the campaign as a movement to build a stronger and more united Kenya.
