THIKA: Detectives Nab 2 Iranian Nationals For Mobile Phone Shop Fraud
Police authorities nabbed two Iranian nationals after they were linked to a theft at a mobile phone shop in the Thika region of Kiambu County.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), 56-year-old Heidari Mansoior Eslam and Babaei Ahmad Mirzaaga (40) went to a mobile phone shop pretending to be customers.
However, the shopkeeper recognized them from a previous robbery that occurred a month prior.
With increasing suspicion, the shopkeeper summoned his buddy, who, upon arriving, identified the Iranians and raised an alarm after confronting them.

Two Iranian nationals have been apprehended by Thika detectives following a stupefying incident that left an innocent Kenyan 15,000 shillings lighter.

Law enforcement authorities arrived on time to protect the couple from the fury of an angry throng.
They will remain in custody at Thika Police Station awaiting arraignment.
Fuel Theft Syndicate
Police have detained three people accused of siphoning fuel from train carriages at Sultan Hamud Railway Station in Makueni County, following a coordinated operation sparked by a public alarm.
The individuals were reportedly apprehended after law enforcement received a tip from a member of the public about the potential behavior.
Kenya Railways authorities and Port Police acted quickly, seizing the area and interrupting the operation before the trio could flee or dispose of the fuel.
During the search, police recovered two 20-litre jerrycans and two 18-litre water dispenser bottles carrying petrol, which they think were siphoned directly off train wagons.

Investigators said the suspects appeared to have taken advantage of a window of opportunity while the locomotive was stationed at Sultan Hamud awaiting a replacement driver.
The three individuals were escorted to Emali Railways Police Station for further processing and are expected to be arraigned once investigations are concluded.
Authorities said further details, including the intended destination of the fuel and whether the suspects are linked to a wider network, will form part of ongoing investigations.
Fuel theft along transport corridors and industrial facilities has been cited as a growing concern for law enforcement agencies, given its links to organised crime and economic sabotage.
