“I Was In A Healing Mission, Not Surgery!” – Prophet Owuor Tells Off Duale
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has come under fire from controversial prophet David Owuor after Duale claimed to have performed healing miracles while abroad for knee surgery.
Owuor called the CS’s remarks “fake, unverified, and misleading” in a sharply worded post on his social media platforms on Thursday, January 29.
“The ministry of repentance and holiness strongly refutes recent public remarks attributed to CS Aden Duale regarding Prophet Dr. David Owuor,” Owuor stated.
“The statements suggesting that the prophet of the lord underwent medical procedures as alleged are false, unverified and misleading.”
Owuor emphasized that he is on an official international mission in Europe.
We urge the public to ignore the false and misleading claims about Prophet Dr. David Owuor. The Prophet has been in Japan and just completed a very successful international mission and has safely returned ready to leave for the next mission.

He insisted that he continues to conduct revival meetings and other ministry activities in response to his recent trip, which Duale mentioned in a TV interview.
“At the time being referenced, Prophet Owuor was on an official international mission in Europe, holding revival meetings and faithfully carrying out ministry work focused on the message of repentance, holiness and preparations for the coming of the Messiah,” the statement added.
It also noted that Owuor has since arrived back in the country.
Owuor also voiced concerns in the statement over the spread of what he termed as false statements that were passed off as true.
When discussing issues pertaining to faith and spiritual leadership, he challenged the general public, leaders, pundits, and the media to act responsibly and truthfully.
In addition, he demanded impartiality, truthful reporting, and reverence for his vocation.
“Our ministry gatherings are centered on prayer, repentance, and faith in Jesus Christ,” the statement said.
“Attendees often share personal testimonies of spiritual restoration and healings through The Blood of Jesus Christ.”
Adding, “These are matters of faith and religious belief and should be treated with the respect afforded to all faith-based expressions.”
Owuor’s remarks came after Duale’s remarks on Wednesday night in a Citizen TV interview.
The core issue is not faith. Spiritual nourishment is respected and valued, but it exists alongside science and medicine, not in place of them.

The CS questioned why Owuor claimed to heal the sick while seeking medical care overseas, claiming that he was abroad for knee surgery.
Duale issued a warning about the practice of miracles and connected it to the 2022 Shakahola event.
The prophet’s claims to have healed individuals with various illnesses, such as HIV and AIDS, sparked a heated debate in December 2025.
He further went on to parade doctors, he said, who had conducted tests on the patients, and the results came out negative.

This prompted the government to launch investigations into the matter, with Duale calling for the revocation of the doctors’ licenses for participating in the rally.
“If he (Owuor) can go for knee replacement, I do not know why he should ask his followers to go for spiritual nourishment. This is what happened with Shakahola. We must be very careful,” Duale stated.
Duale said that the professionals needed to scientifically prove their claims.
The CS noted that failure to do so would result in serious disciplinary action, including suspension or revocation of their licenses, for professional misconduct and a violation of medical ethics.
