Ruto, CSs Make Fresh Appointments to State Boards And Committees
President William Ruto, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya, and Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba are among senior government officials who have made changes in some government institutions.
In a gazette notice dated January 30, the President reappointed Ahmed Abdi Rashid, Mary Murangi Mugo, Claire Sifuna Wanyama, and Caroline Cherono Kilisha as members of the State Corporations Advisory Committee.
The Head of State noted that the four will serve in the role for a period of three years, and their appointments will take effect on Wednesday, February 4.
Benjamin Kiprono Kuttoh has been appointed as a member of the Board of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen.
Murkomen, in his notice, said that Kuttoh will hold the position for the next three years, with effect from January 30.
Elsewhere, Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya has appointed Isaac Njoroge, Hosea Abinya, Esther Wambui, Nelson Wekulo, Ashford Miriti, Joseph Kithome, Rebecca Morogo, and Rehema Athman as members of the Advisory Committee on Military Veterans, for a period of one (1) year, with effect from April 2.
Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi reappointed Anne Rimbaine Lengerded and Joseph Kipkemboi Ngetich as members of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation.
The two will be members of the board for a period of three years, and their appointments took effect on January 30.
Mbadi has further appointed James Agembe Akali as a member of the Board of Directors of the Nairobi International Financial Centre Authority, for a period of three years.
George Kingori Gathogo has been appointed as a member of the Board of the Financial Inclusion Fund by Co-operatives and MSMEs Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Opranya, for a period of three years.
The Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has appointed Kenneth Maena as a member of the Council of the Tom Mboya University, for a period of three years.
Meanwhile, Joseph Tuikong Rotich was appointed as a member of the Council of the Koitalel Samoei UniversityCollege for three years.

For the next three years, Ronald Leposo Musengi, Jacob Wangai Gitau, and Joseph Omanya Nyotumba will be members of the Council of the Eldoret National Polytechnic, according to the education boss.
Ogamba has, however, revealed the appointment of Allan Mugambu Michael as amember of the council of the Murang’a University of Technology, and Joseph Tuikong as a member of the Council of the Open University of Kenya.
The CS has also revoked the appointment of Stella Oyiego and Hamadi Musa Garashi as members of Machakos University.
Lastly, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has appointed Patrisio Njiru Njeru as a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya National Public Health Institute, for a period of three years.
