Raila Jr Receives HUGE Welcome, ‘Baba Ndio Huyo’ Chants Rock Imara Daima
Residents of Imara Daima turned out in large numbers on Sunday to greet Raila Odinga Jr. during a church service visit.
The event brought commerce to a halt as supporters crowded the streets singing pro-Raila slogans.
The ecstatic masses waved twigs and sang “Baba ndio huyo” as Raila Jr made his way through the neighborhood, with many trying to catch a glimpse of him.
The atmosphere was electrifying, with supporters singing and dancing as they accompanied him to the church ceremony.
The son of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga received a rousing welcome from villagers and political supporters, demonstrating the Odinga family’s enduring importance in the region.

Security officers were also deployed to manage the huge crowds and maintain order during the event.
The event attracted residents from neighbouring estates, with many lining roadsides hours before his arrival.
Last Sunday, Raila Junior held a public engagement with Kenyans at the Jacaranda Grounds.
He called on political leaders to show respect to the family of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
He also warned against emerging factional disputes within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Odinga Junior said the party was facing internal tensions just months after Raila’s passing, urging leaders to exercise maturity and restraint.
He said he had personally communicated expectations to family members and political allies regarding respect for the Odinga family in public and political spaces.
“People are talking about ODM and its factions. I know ODM belonged to Raila, and as a member of the family, I will speak,” he said.

“We have our uncle Oburu. Six months after his demise, the party are having wrangles. We must be mature in our politics.”
Before adding, “It does not matter if you have leadership elsewhere; you have cars and everything. Respect is not weakness.”

“I spoke to my uncle and told him that beginning today, if you are an MP, PS, MCA, among others, Raila’s family should be respected. Do your work respectfully. Respect Raila’s family.”
Odinga Junior also dismissed speculation about his political alignment within ODM factions.
He insisted that he remained aware of discussions that took place around his father’s final political engagements.
“I heard people talking about terms and asking me where I belong,” he said.
“During Raila’s last days, he spoke with people from different factions. Ask those who were in those meetings if I was there or not.”
