Embassies serve an important role in aiding citizens who live, work, study, or visit overseas.

Registration enables diplomatic missions to immediately make contact with citizens during emergencies such as civil unrest, natural catastrophes, disease outbreaks, armed conflicts, and evacuation drills.

According to the State Department for Diaspora Affairs,  Kenyan embassies and high commissions abroad are mandated to articulate Kenya’s Foreign Policy and advance national interests globally.

Their core responsibilities span economic diplomacy (promoting trade and investment), consular services for the diaspora, and fostering bilateral and multilateral relations.
