“After weeks of anxious searching since 9th June, Esther Wairimu Keige, Advocate, has sadly been found dead in Gatundu Forest,” stated Advocate Oduor.
“My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones during this profoundly difficult time,” she added.
“May they find strength in the face of this devastating loss. May those responsible be identified, brought before the law, and held fully accountable.”
Preliminary investigations show that the body was intact, though decomposition had already set in by the time it was located.
Two of her relatives were reportedly called in and positively identified her remains, a moment that finally gave the grieving family some closure.
Investigators have since moved her body to the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) mortuary, where an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.
