“I am Ready For Any Outcome!” – Ol Kalou’s UDA Candidate Says, Claims Agents’ Vehicle Burnt
After voting in the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election on Thursday, United Democratic Alliance candidate Samuel Muchina stated that he is willing to accept the results.
Muchina spoke after voting at Huruma Primary School, expressing confidence that he would win the campaign but stating that he would respect the electorate’s decision whatsoever.
“I am ready for the outcome because I know I am winning. If I lose, it’s also okay. I will follow the law,” he said.
Muchina, who was greeted by election authorities before casting his ballot, lauded the security measures in place for the by-election.
He also alleged that he had encountered individuals distributing money to voters on Thursday morning.

“This morning we have had two incidents. I found some individuals dishing out money to voters, but I believe IEBC will take action against those trying to bribe our voters,” he said.
Despite the claims, Muchina did not provide any evidence related to the same, but he noted that he would report the alleged bribery incidents to the police.
“I have just come from that particular polling station and I will report the issue to the police because I am a citizen who abides by the law,” he said.

He said that police personnel had been deployed around the constituency to ensure order.
“Security is well organised and officers are everywhere,” he said. He also welcomed the early voter turnout, describing it as a sign of the public’s commitment to the democratic process.

“We are here to vote. We are here to exercise our democratic right. I am happy with the turnout. People have turned out in good numbers,” he said.
His arrival came amid a strong turnout across polling centres in Ol Kalou, where residents braved Nyandarua County’s biting morning cold to cast their ballots.
Long queues formed early at several polling stations, including Kiganjo Primary School and Kiganjo Secondary School, with many voters arriving before polling officially opened.
By 7 a.m., dozens had lined up outside classrooms converted into polling stations, patiently waiting for election officials to begin the voting process.
Many residents were wrapped in heavy jackets, coats and sweaters to shield themselves from the chilly weather, but the cold did little to dampen their enthusiasm.
Huruma Primary School, where Muchina voted, also recorded a steady stream of voters from the early hours.
