On Monday, business activity in Isiolo came to a halt as irate locals held demonstrations to protest the county’s bad road conditions.

Residents expressed their dissatisfaction with the region’s deteriorating roads, urging the government to increase its efforts to ensure seamless transportation.

While going to the streets of the North Eastern town, outraged citizens blamed the county administration for a lack of basic services.

They specifically blamed their Governor, Abdi Ibrahim Hassan, for a paucity of drugs in regional hospitals.

While chanting the national anthem, the enraged throng marched to the county’s major hospital, demanding hospitals be equipped with medicine and related items.

Social media videos show residents blocking the major road into town while picketing. Some are spotted marching while holding leaves and shouting.

These protests reflect bigger worries about infrastructure and healthcare availability, which influence communities’ daily lives.

This is not the first time the residents have protested. Four weeks ago, citizens protested Governor Guyo’s administration, stating that they had not received progress.
