‘A Surprise Is Coming!’ – Kalonzo Hints At A Grand Coalition Set For 2025
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has hinted about rebranding his party as part of fundamental reforms before forming a grand coalition.
The Azimio principal revealed to parishioners during his birthday ceremony on Monday that the metamorphosis will also include a name change for the party.
According to the former Vice President, he will shortly hold a National Delegates Conference (NDC) to discuss crucial issues affecting the party.
He stated that the conference, which will take place next year, would enable the party to reinvent itself as Wiper prepares to form a coalition with other willing parties.
Thank you, @TheWiperParty Democrats (WWD), for this beautiful surprise on the eve of my birthday. I am deeply humbled. Above all else, I thank God.

“We are going to make sure we strengthen the party, are you ready? You will be surprised by what I will announce within the year because I also want us to have a delegates conference,” Kalonzo said.
“We will have a delegates conference in the year so that we can rebrand the party because we can not continue to do the same thing the same way and expect different results,” he added.
Kalonzo also declared plans to rally support for the formation of a new coalition with the primary goal of promoting national salvation.
The Azimio leader went on to criticize President Ruto’s administration for violating the constitution by illegally impeaching former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Addressing the audience, Kalonzo claimed that the current dictatorship had even planned to frustrate the former DP by deliberately stalling his appeal against impeachment.
“By impeaching Gachagua, Ruto should have been the first, that is what we are saying. Gachagua is also a Kenyan entitled to civic justice, first is treatment per the law,” Kalonzo remarked.
The Wiper party leader’s comments came only days after he hinted at creating a partnership with the former DP and other opposition lawmakers ahead of the 2027 general election.
Speaking after attending a burial service in Embu on Thursday, December 19, Kalonzo said Gachagua was welcome to join the opposition leaders.
