
Head-On Collision Along Eldoret-Nakuru Road Claims SIX Lives

Six individuals perished on Monday in a horrific incident on the Eldoret-Nakuru route, while numerous more were seriously injured.
The event occurred about 1500 hours in the Rapture area, approximately 15 kilometers east of the Timboroa police station.
According to the police report, an unidentified man was driving the truck to Nakuru when he lost control.
The vehicle drifted into the opposite lane and collided with an incoming matatu carrying 16 passengers to Eldoret.
Six passengers in the matatu perished on the spot, while an unknown number were critically injured.
The injured were taken to Burnt Forest Sub-County Hospital for prompt treatment.
Meanwhile, the bodies were transferred to the mortuary at Eldama Ravine Sub-County Hospital for postmortem assessment.
The accident involved a matatu from the 3NT Sacco and a Mercedes-Benz Actros trailer.
The disaster occurred the day after nine passengers were killed when their matatu crashed into the Mbagathi River.
According to authorities, the driver of the Naboka Sacco vehicle that travels the Ongata Rongai-Nairobi route lost control, causing it to overturn into the river.
